As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing projects from the initial idea to the realization of a prototype or a marketable product. You will play a key role in supporting clients throughout the design phase, ensuring that deadlines, costs and technical requirements are met. You will work closely with engineers and clients to ensure the success of each project. This position is intended for an engineer (mechanical, electromechanical or electronic) with solid experience in technical project management.
Technical skills
The ideal candidate has an engineering degree (mechanical, electromechanical or electronic engineering) and proven experience in project management in these fields. You have a good command of project management methodologies and are comfortable with project management tools. A good understanding of the design, prototyping and validation processes for electronic or electromechanical products is essential. You should also be able to collaborate effectively with engineering teams to solve technical challenges encountered during the different phases of the project.
Interpersonal skills
As a Project Manager at Quimesis, you will be the main point of contact for clients, from the feasibility assessment of the project to the delivery of the final product. You must be an excellent communicator, able to manage client expectations while establishing a relationship of trust. You will also be required to coordinate the efforts of the various teams (engineers, designers, technicians) ensuring good communication between all stakeholders. Quality engineer responsible for ensuring that Quimesis' internal products and processes meet ISO standards and European standards.

Missions
- Take charge of the development of a vision function from A to Z: analysis of requirements, choice of algorithms and sensors, implementation and validation.
- Design and develop image processing and computer vision algorithms (2D/3D) to solve complex problems (3D reconstruction, SLAM, object recognition, semantic segmentation).
- Select, configure and integrate vision sensors (2D/3D cameras, ToF, Lidar, etc.) according to project constraints.
- Explore and rapidly prototype solutions based on Machine Learning and Deep Learning approaches (PyTorch, TensorFlow).
- Develop robust mathematical models for calibrating multi-sensor systems (cameras, IMU, Lidar, odometry, etc.).
- Integrate vision software bricks into complex robotic systems, ensuring reliable, high-performance communication.
- Participate in the design of the hardware architecture in collaboration with the electronics and mechanics team.
- Actively participate in the field testing and deployment phases to guarantee the robustness of the solution in real-life conditions.
- Maintain a scientific and technological watch to maintain Quimesis' competitive edge in algorithmic aspects.
Required skills
- Master's or PhD in engineering (mechatronics, computer science, applied mathematics) or equivalent experience.
- Very good C, C++ and Python development skills in a professional context.
- Solid theoretical knowledge of the fundamental concepts of computer vision and image processing.
- Solid skills in applied mathematics (projective geometry, linear algebra, optimization, statistics).
- Knowledge of the software development ecosystem: Git, CMake, dependency management.
What would make the difference
- Concrete experience with Deep Learning frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow) on vision problems.
- Applied knowledge of 3D vision: stereovision calculation, Structure from Motion (SfM), photogrammetric reconstruction, etc.
- Experience with sensor fusion or SLAM libraries.
- Experience on specific embedded platforms (e.g. NVIDIA Jetson, NXP i.MX, AMD/Xilinx Zynq).
