A good product is one that doesn't need instructions: it's designed for the user, it should be easy to use, quick to pick up, in other words, the experience should be "user friendly."

Even if it works perfectly, the best product in the world can quickly fail if it's not attractive enough to the public, if it lacks responsiveness, or isn't well thought out and is complex to use.
