Co-founder / Project leader

François Baudart

Dr. François Baudart obtained his PhD in Electromechanical Engineering from the Ecole Polytechnique de Louvain (EPL) in 2012, with great distinction. He completed his thesis in collaboration with the aerospace company S.A.B.C.A., on the development of fault-tolerant high-performance actuation systems for ESA's new generation space launcher.

He then did a post-doctoral research at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL) in Switzerland, working on a new technology for high performance micro-motors. He is still working on this project, aiming at the creation of a start-up, a spin-off from EPL.

In parallel, from 2009 to 2013, he co-founded the robotics club Plastivore, where he managed the electronics of the robots that participated in the European competition, Eurobot. In 2013, he co-founded Quimesis SPRL. He is now head of the electronics department and supervises the electronics team from design to production. In addition, his skills include CE certification, design of electromagnetic devices, low-level motor control, and sensor data filtering.
