Co-founder / Project leader
François Baudart
Dr. François Baudart obtained his doctorate in electromechanical engineering from the Ecole Polytechnique de Louvain (EPL) in 2012 with great distinction. He carried out his thesis in collaboration with the aerospace company S.A.B.C.A. on the development of high-performance fault-tolerant actuation systems for the new generation of ESA space launchers.
He then did post-doctoral research at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in Switzerland, working on a new technology for high-performance micro-motors. He is still working on this project, aiming to create a start-up, a spin-off from EPL.
In parallel, from 2009 to 2013, he co-founded the Plastivore robotics club, where he managed the electronics of the robots that participated in the European competition, Eurobot. In 2013, he co-founded Quimesis SPRL. He is now head of the electronics department and supervises the electronics team, from design to production. In addition, his skills include CE certification, electromagnetic device design, low-level motor control, and sensor data filtering.
