Co-founder / Project leader
Christophe Everarts
In 2017, he obtained the degree of Doctor of Engineering Science in the field of robotic prostheses for amputees, more precisely on an energy efficient knee-ankle prosthesis.
As part of his PhD, he spent a year at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the Biomechatronics Group which is a world leader in the field of active prosthetics. There he designed a new type of Continuously Variable Transmission capable of shifting gears when stopped. This device is the subject of a patent.
In 2013, he founded Quimesis. He is now the head of the mechanical department, overseeing the team from basic design to mass production. In addition, his skills cover the sizing and design of mechatronic devices, optimization and control.
